Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) is different from other forms of massage. Before we begin, I'll take time to listen--because understanding your history is just as important as the hands-on work. The more you can share, the better: What triggers your symptoms? What brings relief? Where do you feel it, and how often? From there, I'll do a brief physical assessment, checking your range of motion and looking for any structural patterns that may be contributing to your discomfort. Every detail helps me tailor the session specifically for you.
During the hands-on portion of your session, you'll settle onto the massage table while I perform targeted therapeutic work both inside the mouth and along the muscles of the face, neck, and head. This isn't general massage--it's precise, intentional work focused specifically on the muscles contributing to your pain. I'll move at a pace that feels right for you, always working within your comfort level and with your nervous system in mind.
Your feedback during the session isn't just welcome--it's essential because I'm unable to feel what you feel. Something as small as a slight shift in pressure or direction can make all the difference between a technique that helps and one that misses the mark entirely.
What I'm looking for is that unmistakable moment when you say--"that's exactly it." Not pressure that's barely tolerable, but the deeply satisfying feeling of finally having someone find the spot you've been carrying for weeks, months, maybe longer. It's often as much of a reilef emotionally as it is physically.
If something feels off-target or unproductive at any point, please speak up. Redirecting me is never an interruption--it's how we get you the best possible outcome.
